Abstract

The Remote-Controlled Electric Stubble Mower is an innovative agricultural device designed to efficiently cut and manage crop residues left after harvesting, offering a sustainable alternative to stubble burning. The system operates on electric power and can be remotely controlled, eliminating the need for manual labor in hazardous post-harvest conditions. The mower is equipped with a robust DC motor for driving the cutting blades, a wireless control unit for navigation, and rechargeable batteries for eco-friendly operation. The remote-control mechanism allows the operator to control the mower movement and blade operation from a safe distance using radio frequency (RF) or Bluetooth communication. The design emphasizes cost-effectiveness, simplicity, and environmental safety by reducing air pollution caused by traditional stubble burning. This project demonstrates a step toward automation in small-scale farming and sustainable residue management through clean, efficient, and user-friendly technology. The machine’s lightweight structure, efficient cutting mechanism, and user-friendly control design make it suitable for small and medium-scale farmers. The mower completely avoids stubble burning, helping reduce air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and soil degradation. The system operates on battery power with solar assistance, making it environmentally sustainable. Remote control operation eliminates direct human contact with sharp tools and rough terrains. It is ideal for elderly farmers, women, or individuals with physical limitations. Dual 6V 4.5Ah batteries provide sufficient runtime for small agricultural tasks. The system is versatile and can be employed for various operations such as post-harvest stubble management, lawn mowing, garden cleaning, and weed removal. Overall, the remote-controlled electric stubble mower promotes sustainable agriculture by reducing labor, eliminating stubble burning, improving field safety, and supporting eco-friendly residue management.
